First Things First

It is important to know that my company, Go Realty is a premium, full-service real estate company. If you are looking for a company to list your home in MLS only, please ask...I will recommend someone else who can help. If you are selling your home with a limited service company or by yourself without the help of a realtor, this experiment is for you. Glad to have you.

What's the Catch?

Whether you verbalized it or not, I'm sure this was your first question when you heard about the FSBO Experiment. Fair enough. Here's the catch.

1. The information is free, but it will cost some money to implement. You won't pay me anything but you may have to pay some other people for their services. But I will give you lots of free stuff too.

2. The marketing program requires an intermediate knowledge of social media, some internet savvy and time.

3. Marketing is only part of the equation. There are many other factors to selling a home- such as pricing strategies, home staging, negotiating and contracts- that I do not cover in this particular program.

4. I only teach the classes in person, so you'll have to come see me. I could post the same information online but I think there is a big advantage to face-to-face interaction between homeowners.

That's a nice explanation, Zach, but what's REALLY in it for you

I am helping people sell their home. That is the goal of any real estate professional. With that said:

1. Not everyone has the time, energy, money or willingness to pull it off. Hopefully some of those people will hire me. If not, maybe they’ll tell someone else about me...and that person will hire me.

2. I am also an educator. I teach sales and marketing classes for the Institute of Residential Marketing to professionals around the country. This will add to my credibility as a great instructor with cutting edge ideas.

It is important to know that any recommendations I make ARE biased. I talk about the people I work with because they have proven to be the best available for one reason or another. I DO NOT receive or expect compensation from any of them for this exposure.

Why do this?

I have spent the last 10 years evaluating marketing programs and continue to tweak the tactics that work best for our market at any given moment.

Why? Because it helps people sell their homes.

Imagine I can educate 100 people through this experiment and then 30 people sell their home using the tools I have given them...that means there are 30 more success stories that prove what I do works.

That's why I want to do this.
